Metso to rebuild pulp machine in Canada
Dec 9 2010 Metso will supply Hinton Pulp with a rebuild of their market pulp machine in Hinton, Alberta, Canada. The project will be delivered and installed in late 2011. The value of the order exceeds ten million Euros.
The rebuild will significantly increase the pulp machine’s capacity. The rebuilt machine will produce market pulp at speeds over 220 meters per minute. Brian Grantham, General manager, Hinton Pulp, states: “The upgrade to the pulp machine will allow the mill to produce more green power, reduce its natural gas consumption, and lower its carbon footprint.”
