In terms of its power-to-heat ratio, the new boiler at Iggesund mill will be the most efficient recovery boiler in the world.The new boiler will increase Iggesund’s electricity production from 210 to 520 GWh per annum. The investment is part of an energy efficiency program to make the Iggesund mill energy self-sufficient. The investment will also provide the conditions for the mill to operate without using any fossil fuels.Andritz' delivery also includes process and building instrumentation and electrification for the boiler, process control systems for the boiler island, as well as process simulator and process control solutions.Start-up of the boiler will be in the second quarter of 2012.
