New board mill to be built in UK
Jan 19 2010 Spanish paper and packaging group Saica has decided to go ahead with construction of its around 300 million Euros investment in a new board mill at Partington Wharfside, Trafford, near Manchester, UK.
The mill construction is expected to commence early this year, and the start up of the mill is expected in February 2012.When fully operational approximately 400,000 tons a year of 100 percent recycled containerboard will be produced at Partington Mill. PM11, a proposed state of the art, 7.5 meter wide paper machine, will be the heart of the plant and will operate at speeds of up to 1,500 meters per minute.
