IWB Week-registration is now open

IWB Week, the leading international event for the wood based biorefining industries in Stockholm, 24-26 May 2016, is now open for registration.
It is now possible to sign up for the best and most versatile conference for the wood based biorefining industries in 2016.

The IWB Week combines three events for the forest industries focusing on the pulp, paper, bioenergy, new biobased innovations and products.

The conference starts with an opening ceremony attended by the Swedish Minister of Rural Affairs, Sven-Erik Bucht and the Chairman of Södra, Lena Ek. After the opening there will be a session aboutMarkets for Biobased products where you for example can meet Nella Barentz, Sustainability Policy Director at Arizona Chemical, giving a presentation about sustainable and intelligent bio-economy.

Our four different conference tracks will be hosted by the most interesting speakers from the industry. At the Advance Biofuels track you can listen to Alex Miles, Director at Enerkem, discussing waste gasification to ethanol and methanol in commercial production. At the Biopower and heat track you can listen to Markku Karlsson from VTT giving a presentation about challenges and barriers for development of large-scale biorefineries.

At the Bioeconomy Innovation Forum you can listen to Oliver Schmidt, Industrial Designer at Scania, talking about valuation of materials. Another interesting speaker is Lars Axrup, Project Director at Stora Enso, giving a presentation about micro fibrilated cellulose in packaging applications.

The participation in the conference will cost 2000 SEK per day and person and 3500 SEK for the entire IWB Week conference program (prices excluding VAT).
