The company said it would replace the PM 6 headbox with state-of-art technology to enhance runnability and increase product performance.

La Gère paper mill in South-East-France is part of Munksjö’s Release Liner business area. The mill employs close to 180 people and has one paper machines with a capacity of some 95 000 tpy of supercalendered release papers for pressure sensitive self-adhesive labelstock, specialty tapes and industrial applications.

The machine upgrade is scheduled for December 2014.

La Gère paper mill was part of Ahlstrom until 2013. The mill was then transacted to Munksjö in the Munksjö-Ahlstrom Label and Processing deal, meant to create a leading specialty paper manufacturer in the world.
