Cascade prepares closing in Djupafors

Cascades Djupafors AB launches negotiations on the closure of the paperboard mill in Kallinge, Sweden.

Weak profitability and increased competition led to the decision to close the factory. 130 employees will be affected. The goal is that production will continue until July of this year, stated in a press release.

The factory in Djupafors produces folding boxboard in different grades for the food industry. The annual production of 60 000 tonnes goes mainly to the European market.
