Chemrec plant for sale
Oct 9 2012 Chemrec's pilot plant for black liquor gasification, located at Smurfit Kappa Kraftliner mill in Piteå, northern Sweden, is for sale.
According to regional media, Chemrec is planning to divest the pilot plant in Piteå. Some 20 people are made redundant.Chemrec has got broad international acknowledgement for its technology to produce biodiesel through black liquor gasification. The commercialization of the technology has, however, been slow, and the company now has to divest its pilot plant in Piteå.
