The order is for capacity enhancement for one of its units, JK Paper Mills. Located in Rayagada in the state of Orissa, southeast India, this mill annually produces 125,000 tons of branded printing, writing and copier paper. The mill expansion and modernization project will more than double its production capacity. It will add a new paper machine with a capacity of 165,000 tons per year, a pulp mill that will produce 215,000 tons of wood pulp per year, and a 55 MW power plant. This expansion project involves close to USD $400 million.ABB’s delivery for the mill will help to improve its overall production efficiency and capacity.
