Södra signs agreement about new Russian pulp mill
April 29 2011 Södra has signed a Sales and Marketing Agreement with the Russian company Angara Paper, taking on the role of distributor for the pulp production from Angara Paper’s planned pulp mill.
The agreement between Södra and Angara Paper establishes Södra as both the industrial and the sales partner for the pulp mill project. The final investment decision for the project is expected early next year.It was in December last year that Södra announced a possible involvment in a Russian pulp mill project, according to a letter of intent between Södra, Angara Paper and a Russian bank. The planned pulp mill will have a capacity of 1.1 million tons softwood pulp.
