Moventas to supply equipment for Andritz drum pulpers
June 28 2010 The Finnish company Moventas is to supply mechanical power transmission equipment for drum pulpers manufactured by Andritz. This is Moventas’ largest single order for drum pulper ring gears.
The Moventas delivery covers 15 multi-segmented ring gears. The agreement between Moventas and Andritz also includes start-up inspection services, which ensure the installation of the mechanical drives. The deliveries are scheduled for 2010. The value of the order will not be disclosed.The Moventas multi-segmented ring gears are for Andritz customers in China and Korea, where the drum pulpers will be used to produce the raw material for recycled paper and board manufacturing.
